  •  How is publishing public information paranoid? (7+ / 0-)

The reaction of the gun lovers surely is.

    •  If you stopped flogging the lepers in your head (5+ / 0-)

and started conversing with other people as if they were human beings you might begin to see the problem with this action.

      "The gun lovers"??

What is that shit?  Everyone who owns a fire arm is a "gun lover"?

How about a list of homes with vehicles valued at over 50,000$?  That's public information, right?

Is also public info, and available to every marketer in the country.

And gun lovers is my term of endearment for the folks in this little story that are getting all worked up over keeping their license to own  of a dangerous item secret from their neighbors.

        •  To the extent what you claim is true, ... (0+ / 0-)

they only want to keep it secret from their crazy, paranoid neighbors.  They'd actually prefer everyone else know about it so they'd think twice before attempting to commit any crime at that location.

    •  Publishing the information ... (0+ / 0-)

was OBVIOUSLY done from paranoia due to the fact that there was only one true reason for doing it.  The excuses given were disingenuous.
