    I don't know you except through your writings, but I do admire you.  

    I lost my grandmother years ago to cancer and I still wish we had been closer.  I think it is more of a generational functional than a personal choice, that slight distance that goes with the love we have.

    Near the end of her time she asked me to listen to how she felt about leaving her life.  She told me she was ready and wanted to see her family who had gone before her.  She sad to live well and to do it in such a way that I could be proud of what I chose.

    A few days later she was gone.  We were sitting with her, ans she began talking eith her father who had been dead for years about going home with him.  I don't know if it was real or a dream or a wish but she seemed so very much at peace and ready to go.

    I ask for you and your Grandmother and all of your friends and family to br held in God's light and for your Grandmother to have peace and comfort while she is here.
