  •  That's because we're actually doing things (8+ / 0-)

to reduce the number of auto deaths.

The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.

There is nothing like that designed to keep guns safe,  which kind of makes sense in that some guns are designed solely to kill people quickly and in great volume.  That's a firearm for war, not for civilians.

      Are in on the act.

Once people were required to have insurance on their vehicles, the insurance corporations set about making the vehicles safer so they didn't have to pay out as much, especially in medical bills that are ongoing, as opposed to equipment bills that are a one time thing.

That's why I keep pushing for insurance on each and every gun, to get the insurance corporations pushing for safety measures that would lower their costs, which would help all of us.

Besides, let those that are so enamored with guns pay for the costs of damages caused by guns. The rest of us shouldn't have to be paying it like we are now.

Law enforcement, EMTs, and other personnel that have to respond to the carnage have to be paid, after all. Then there is harm to businesses, property, and long term damage to people that need to be paid for.
