  •  Thank you, Youff! (5+ / 0-)

    It's definitely kicking my ass, so it's probably the same thing. I am very tired of the earaches in particular, which not everyone seems to get with it -- just special people like me.  ;)

    Hope you are all well again!

      But the assistant manager worked a bit today with a nasty cough, spreading germs far and wide.  She even said it'll be a miracle if I don't come down with it too.

      Unfortunately, I already feel like I'm coming down with it, which is either the power of suggestion or we were both exposed to the same Typhoid Mary customer at work.  The next few days will tell -- she just woke up sick today after feeling fine yesterday.

      BTW, I am off the electronic cigarette but on nicotine lozenges.  Not very much at a time -- my nicotine intake must have really dropped while smoking the e-cig -- but it's definitely a bit better than a placebo effect: it neutralizes or completely blocks nicotine-withdrawal nightmares.

      Hope you feel better soon!  Have you seen a doctor about the earaches?  You might have a secondary infection in your sinus cavities or something: ear, nose, throat all connected somehow.

      To make the argument that the media has a left- or right-wing, or a liberal or a conservative bias, is like asking if the problem with Al-Qaeda is do they use too much oil in their hummus. Al Franken

        he gave me azithromycin just based on my history, so that I wouldn't be stuck out here over a holiday weekend with nothing and have a secondary infection arise. But what I have now is clearly viral, as he told me, because the antibiotic hasn't touched it. Sure is wearing me out.

        I cannot see how you keep from being sick all the time in winter, having to work among all those sick customers. SO glad to hear the quitting is going well for you! I have to think you'll have an easier time staying healthy without all that stuff in your lungs. {{{Youff}}}

          So sorry I didn't check my comments in time to tip yours.

          Hope you feel better soon.  I think I dodged the bullet this time.  (If my allergies kick up, it feels like a cold...until it doesn't.  So I think I've been having allergies rather than a cold these past couple of days.)
