  •  She's ready for a challenger. (13+ / 0-)

Both of our (CA) Senators, are typically absent, or wrong, when they should be the leading representatives of Blue America.

It's way past time for new blood in the Democratic Party of California, which tends to reward lifetime hacks from a thin bench, on a statewide basis, like Gray Davis, Queen DiFi, and now an apparently senile Boxer.

Government and laws are the agreement we all make to secure everyone's freedom.

to another six year term. She will be 85 when her next term ends so hopefully she will retire. Boxer is currently 72 and is up for re-election in 2016. Neither can be successfully challenged in the Democratic primary. They are too well supported by the Dem party, are popular, and can raise lots of cash.

      "let's talk about that"

      •  Much to the national Party's (0+ / 0-)

        great detriment.

CA has been suffering for years with a vacuum of strong Progressive candidates.  It's almost inexplicable, considering the strong base they should have here.  But the suburbs may vote Democratic, but they are really pretty conservative.  Thus the likes of DiFi and Arnold.

A triangulating conservative who calls themselves a Dem (or "moderate") is still hard to beat here.

Boxer's heart has historically been in the right place, but she's not been much of a leader, or force in the Senate.  And as the largest state in the Union, we deserve nothing less.  Like John Kerry, she's sort of just taking up space as a nominal "liberal" without having much effect on legislation.
