    The median monthly benefit for single women entering SS is $1,100 per month.  That means half of the single women receiving SS earn less than that amount.

    Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

      That's the point, isn't it.

      The Republicans are all over hurting women as much as possible. If they had their way, women couldn't vote and they would be owned once again.
