    Then I saw that the question was "make it illegal to manufacture, sell or possess" and I understood the response.  

    In my mind, banning the manufacture is one step too far, although I don't have a problem with banning the possession.  But I also haven't thought out a position on sale.  

    So since I couldn't answer 'no" to all 3 parts of the question, if I were asked this question I'd have to answer "no" even though I do support restrictions.  

    YMMV.

      banning the manufacture is one step too far
      I'm not a gun owner, nor do I wish to be.  But banning the manufacturing of any kind of gun is far beyond the scope of a ban (that I would support) on private citizens owning them.
