    Most of the people in my County are 1. gun owners and 2. Democrats (this is a nearly 70% Blue district; it's also rural). I know plenty who own a large number of guns.

    Do you have a link to your statistical guess? I'd be curious to see it.

      source for the info. We do know the number of guns. We do know the number of gun owners. From that we can get an "average number of guns". Human nature tells us there will be a distribution curve. But what is it? Are there factors such as income, political affiliation, geography, etc. that map to those ownership numbers. The folks I know with guns fall into two groups -- one gun or many. But those numbers aren't 100% tied to their politics but it is a good indicator.

      What's wrong with America? I'll tell you. Everything Romney said was pre-chewed wads of cud from Republicans from the last 30 years and yet he managed thru a combination of racism and selling the (false) hope of riches to get 47% of the national vote.
