    because you robbed the liquor store.  Maybe your pops might want to rethink risks and the risks he is willing to take.

      WW-2 vet having his gun stolen will not get him in trouble .

      And the idea of my 90 year old pops doing 30 years ...

      And who said anything about robbing a liquor store ?

      If I were to snag it , it would be because I thought it was the safe thing to do .

        a stolen gun doesn't get you out of a crime committed by that gun.

        And yes if pop wouldn't miss it.  He probably shouldn't have it.  I am all for taking it away without any fuss.  No need to make a big production with an older person.  I see your point.

        My petition seeks to plant a seed with the powers that be, extending the responsibility of gun ownership past the tried and true 'innocent because the bad guys took it away from silly me'.

        I think keep in the second amendment means keep.
