  •  we know they're not magic (0+ / 0-)

But they are heavily regulated for a reason: They work pretty good enough.

And if the NRA had its way? You can bet that firearms makers would begin pouring out models that were far and above what suppressors achieve today. It's the market, you see.

    •  They're regulated for no reason at all, actually. (1+ / 0-)

You have a bunch of Hollywood misconceptions about them.

So did the people who wrote that legislation... or at least they were pandering to people like you.

You say "they work pretty good enough", but you say this without even so much as hinting at what you think they accomplish.

You can bet that firearms makers would begin pouring out models that were far and above what suppressors achieve today.
Yes, because magic! You say this without understanding anything at all, and it shows. Do you think militaries and police forces around the world want this, but those aren't available yet because the bogeyman NRA hasn't yet got it legalized for private citizens?

You don't even know why you want them heavily restricted and practically illegal. You just do. And quite frankly, this is why the NRA and other gun rights activists should never compromise with people like yourself, we should never offer you anything. You can't be trusted, either to know enough about the subject to debate it rationally, nor to keep your promises implied or explicit.
