  •  Thank you. (7+ / 0-)

I'd be interested to hear from hunters what they do in their states. Again, I'm not advocating for hunting, that's not what this is about. But from the standpoint of reporting on it, it would be good to know more.

I get to choose, and I choose love.

    •  I'm a meat hunter, meaning it's one of the more (4+ / 0-)

important reasons I hunt. Others aren't. Trouble is it's a felony here to waste meat. You are legally obligated to recover at least the 4 quarters, so people pay a processor and the processor donates the meat for them.

It's also ilegal to sell meat, so that's not an option.

If I were looking to supply a low income person with meat I'd more likely make arrangements directly with that person. Most immigrants from the third world are very familiar with butchering and they can cut up an animal cleaner than a processor. That way they'd get to use all the unusual cuts too that aren't sold in our stores.

I think they give a lot of meat to prisons and stuff too.

I wish more would learn to hunt as it's nice clean meat without a carbon footprint.

How big is your personal carbon footprint?
