    Whites aren't really shocked any more  about being called racist. They know it's quite often a knee-jerk reaction, coming from a position of ignorance on the meaning of the word.  Because of this, the word has lost most of its meaning and has all but become defined as "someone who doesn't agree with me (especially on topics about race) and happens to have a different skin tone than me." often hurled when one has no facts to use instead.

    Still they don't like it, especially when someone confuses an opinion on a holiday such as this and telling someone how to act.
