    TJR:  If you froze a tax cut for the top one percent of Americans, it would generate enough money to pay for the $87 billion for the war, if you did it for just one year. Would you consider that?
    RBC: I think it’s b…it would be a mistake. (cut)
    TJR: The President said uh…in 2002, that the tax cut would generate 800,000 jobs and in 2003 said would be another million jobs…none of that has happened. What has happened is the deficit, it’s skyrocketing. (cut)
    TJR (edited clip): …tax cuts.
    RBC:  Tax cuts accounted for only about 25 percent of the deficit.
    TJR (interrupting): But we see deficits for the next 10 years. (pause)  Big ones. (pause) How do you deal with that?
    TJR and RBC talking over one another:
    TJR: We have Social Security, Medicare coming up…
    RBC: We anti…we anticipate even with the…uh…added spending that we’ve asked for now we’ll cut the deficit roughly in half from where it will be next year over the next five years. So we’ll be moving the right direction…(cut)
