we have but a floor heater in the front room so the house is usually cold in the winter. This isn't a complaint, I'm in San Jose so we're talking sweater weather. I've been following Street Prophets for a while and felt like joining in today, so, "hello."

My new year's resolution is along the lines of increasing my motivation and taking a chance with the possibility of failure. The alternative is to remain stuck and unhappy with my job so that alone could build on motivation. The obstacle is that I really don't know how to start up a practice and I feel like I'm burdening those who are successful with my questions and anxiety. So, there you have it, jump off the curb into an unknown but potentially green valley or slush around the sidewalk.

Happy New Years, wishing you a peaceful and healthy year.

the heat does not penetrate to other rooms, instead, it hangs around the heating vent. It's a slow day waiting for official news on the, uh, fiscal curb thingy. Republicans give new (deeper) meaning to 'no one ever said life is fair...'

    •  welcome to Streetprophets (0+ / 0-)

and I find that "jumping off the curb" is a useful skill.  It gets things going.  Speaking strictly for me, I never know in advance what the changes will be.  But, life does not move forward unless we do.
