    go 2013!

Some awesome highs here and abysmal lows for 2012.

Highs: 4 more beers (and years)  for PBO; medical MJ in NJ and new recreational opportunities in two of my favorite domestic vacation destinations. Wife's new basset hound puppy  (wish I was competent at posting pics). Highest high: being asked by my daughter and her partner to marry them.

Lows: Losing a good dogfriend, disasters natural and human made this year. No hockey.  Hit my my personal nadir this afternoon, on the afternoon 31st of Dec.

Tomorrow (maybe Wednesday if i'm lucky) I am going to have an assload of lawyers (a standard unit of measure in Mayorspeak) to deal with.

In PA a Mayor really only has power to do three things: declare a disaster (snow emergencies count), marry people (not a disaster, usually), and de-job (suspend temporarily until the town council acts) the chief of police.

I'm hoping I have a chance to do one of the first two before I have to do the third in 2013.  I'm afraid things just aren't going to be going down that way.

So tonight my usually unusually vivid dreams, if I can sleep,  are going to be filled with arms and mental health issues way way too close to home.

Maybe I should ask my mom to do a novena.
