the hoarding; there are lots of people making a living counseling hoarders & helping them clear stuff out, at least according to teh teevee-machine (what channel is HOARDERS on?)

I'm applying techniques I learned in college getting my Occupational Therapy Assistant degree, and things I've learned in parenting an autistic child who has a tendency towards hoarding as well. The woman is sick and elderly, taking a tough love approach to increase the drama isn't the best bet. Making her feel like she's losing things isn't the best bet.  This is more like getting the kid to sleep in his own room by gradually moving him out into the hall and then further down until he's in his own bed. It works.
