I don't find it to be anti-funny like that.  I think it's more a slice-of-life kind of observation.  A picture painted of a simple moment in a human's life.

Don't think comics are limited to telling Garfield-likes-lasagna type jokes, or anti-joke ironies.  Or political points of the day.

It's a form that can be used to a myriad of effect.  Like any art form.  Including telling small haiku-like stories.

Keith Knight is one of my favorite comic artists and he really pushes what daily-form comics can accomplish.

upstream. We both used slice of life and referenced Garfield in our explanations, lol. I think we think a lot alike on this.

      •  Why must you be so condescending? (0+ / 0-)

Seems like you don't read comments before responding to them.  Of course I've read Maus, and plenty that came before and after.

People don't see, to get the critique.  I get it is not supposed to be "funny."  But I believe it is supposed to be clever or thought provoking, and it isn't.  It is stupid.

        Art Spiegelman is never stupid.

Everyone here has heard of Maus, and with the exception of you everyone here grasps why this is nothing like Maus.
