  •  In eons past I lived in Oakland, NJ (4+ / 0-)

I see from Wikipedia that's in this asshat's district. But I suppose I shouldn't be too shocked. The 5th district in NJ hasn't seen a Democrat represent it in Congress since '33 -- 80 years of Republicans. Wow.

What's wrong with America? I'll tell you. Everything Romney said was pre-chewed wads of cud from Republicans from the last 30 years and yet he managed thru a combination of racism and selling the (false) hope of riches to get 47% of the national vote.

but not as red as you might think. It's 2008 PVI had it at R+5 and it got slightly bluer in redistricting. The problem isn't as much in Bergen county where Oakland is but Sussex and Warren counties. Those are by far the most culturally conservative areas of New Jersey.
