rethugs in the House voted YES last night and the bulk of the senate rethugs. The House GOP has N~O~T~H~I~N~G.........That's why they got hosed. They'll have to come up with some arguments about how to proceed that make SENSE for anyone to take them seriously.....'We're gonna hold our breath at the debt limit vote' ain't gonna cut it.

we progressives have to move to change the narrative away from "the debt" and  into an argument about the negative impact of austerity politics on economic growth and recovery.

The long term debt can be fixed by a stronger economy.  All these stupid House GOPers who are worried about the debt we'll leave our children be asked if they have any interest in having our children grow up, safely, healthily on a planet and in an economy that allows them to do so before we worry about any debt they might face.

If we don't fight this stupid austerity politics that they are clogging up the public sphere with, no real change can occur.  This has always been the Dems greatest flaw, allowing the oligarchs and the extremists to set the narrative.  It's why they needed Occupy last year, even though they worked to destroy the movement.
