  •  President Obama's list is actually good. (9+ / 0-)

The 2009 stimulus bill contained the largest middle class tax cut in history, and included funds for green energy and infrastructure; he's tried to improve education standards and access to higher education; and of course there's the groundbreaking health care legislation.

He found ways to contain health care costs in Medicare and Medicaid without cutting benefits, unlike republicans who seek benefit cuts.

Since 2009, he's tried to do more and has been blocked by congress on every front.

Ezra Klein offers evidence here, that "if you look at President Obama’s biography and policies, you see one unifying theme more than any other: Obama wants to reduce income inequality."

If the republican party did not take such extreme positions and tactics, we'd have seen much different results in the past four years.

The sh*t those people [republicans] say just makes me weep for humanity! - Woody Harrelson

The President has to own some mis-steps, but given where we are at he has also produced some positive results.

I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
but I fear we will remain Democrats.
