beginning of the end.  I predict that within the next two years that we will no longer be the reserve currency for the world.

It will be much more than two years before we are not a reserve currency.

Many countries and smaller entities for a couple of years now have been opting for baskets of several currencies instead of choosing one alone.  That's not the end of anything except bragging rights.

The most traded Euro could be someday... but Europe has been hobbling along... They wanted to try Austerity (again) and it did not work out so well.

Austerity was not a good idea but neither is continuing to use our credit card uncontrolled, we need about 20% in revenue to balance and move the economy forward, the government plays an important part of the equation as we have proved over and over again.  We need to fund it and we have to pay taxes to do that.

          •  Well I agree with that (0+ / 0-)

Just saying that the Euro is not going to become the most traded currency any time soon (if ever). They are in way worse shape then we are. Especially considering that they have member nations that are pretty significant that are in total free-fall (Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal).
