  •  Short North is an arts district (14+ / 0-)

where all the gallery hops happen. It's the area between downtown and OSU campus. (Really, closer to downtown, although the campus area is creeping north and south; I feel like the Short North ends at 5th Ave. and the South Campus area doesn't start until at least King/7th. Ave.) The gay pride parade in Columbus starts at Broad and High (the canonical center of downtown) and runs north on High through the Short North. About the only part of Columbus that's more gay friendly is Victorian Village, which is the neighborhood to the west of it, where half the houses have rainbow flags, and half the rest would if they didn't think flying flags looked tacky on a restored quarter million dollar Victorian.
