• ##### Middle class goes up to the 99th percentile?(10+ / 0-)

No, middle class is the middle third.  Middle class incomes are below 100k, not 400k, and the vast majority between 25 and 50k.  Everyone likes to think they're 'middle class', but if it includes people up to the 99th percentile, it's a meaningless set of sounds.

• ##### Right(0+ / 0-)

it's a meaningless set of sounds because there is no "official" definition of who comprises the middle class.  It all depends on what arguments you're trying to make.

Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.

• ##### No(1+ / 0-)

the distribution does not work that way.

Without data I would guess that the middle class would go up to an absolute minimum figure of 80%

The real figure is likely to be much higher as all the forcing is working in that direction.

- I won't bore you with the math.

• ##### should clarify(0+ / 0-)

the cutoff point between Middle and Upper (or whatever it is called)as would be at 80% of the entire population.

• ##### The top quintile(0+ / 0-)

(top 20%) would be incomes above \$148.1K per year.

Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.
