    There are many complex issues involved in the firearm carnage that we are living in: the guns themselves (as much as 2A fundamentalists scream about it), mental health (I hate to admit it because the gun fundamentalists latch onto that one as a way to say that guns cannot even be talked about), culture (movies & video games), gender issues (as very clearly outline in the interview - it is not just a coincidence that most people are murdered by males, not females), and racial issues (things sure are a lot better than in the 1960s, but they still have a long way to go and it is also no coincidence that white men commit most/all of the mass murders - a great diary that exposed the racial angle was this one, by brooklynbadboy ,with a very short and sweet message).  There may be other issues, but that's a good list to start with.

    Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.
