    with the GOP to attack the left?  You know, I'd take a look at the fellow travellers who share your views of the left and ask whether that's really the company you want to keep.

      every time I see you bashing the president with a GOP talking point just so you can see how hypocritical it is.

        Good luck with that.  

        My criticisms of the President fall into a few small categories:

        -lack of action on climate change
        -lack of focus on jobs and investment, rather than deficit reduction.
        -Advancing right wing ideas by adopting right wing frames (e.g., opening fiscal negotiations by freezing public sector employee salaries to send the message that those unionized employees are the problem)
        -undermining the role of science in policy but attacking sound regulatory policies
        -the conduct of the GWOT and attendant erosion of civil liberties.

        I'd be very interested if you can find my criticizing the President, except on a failure to defend and advance progressive or liberal ideas.
