    Unfortunately the suffering are still the disaster stricken folks who are still trying to piece their lives back together.

    It's not like they (the representatives) lost a house or anything they 'worked hard' for, you know.

    R's in those states (esp. Peter King) want to look like they care but the spending cuts are for THEM not ME cuz he obviously wants re-election.

    Well, he's not gonna get it as long as people remember and are reminded what kind of whacko he is. :P

      Bob Turner, Weiner's replacement elected in the special election, did lose his house in Sandy.  He lived in Breezy Point and had his house burned down in that conflagration they experienced the night of the storm.  Now, he's not coming back to Congress because his district was eliminated in the NY state reshuffling.  As one might have expected, Bob Turner voted "Yes" in favor of the deal negotiated to temper the fiscal cliff.
