    •  Jeebus. How was this not passed IMMEDIATELY??? (8+ / 0-)

Right after the goddamned storm, so storm victims could get their checks the SECOND their claims were processed. We've become a fucking banana republic. With monkeys in charge.

No disrespect to banana republics or monkeys.

Ho'oponopono. To make things right; restore harmony; heal.

I spoke with a lady this weekend whose husband is an underwriter for a private insurance company who has spent the last three weeks in the Sandy area,  most folks he saw will get nothing from the private company, they don't have appropriate coverages.

My ex worked SBA disaster loans,  that money was frequently the difference between businesses rebuilding and not.

There was a tornado through this area a few years back,  the federal government subsidized rebuilding several homes, and it is easy to tell,  in a generally poor rural area of the county, old shotgun houses, small ranchers from the fifties were replaced with much larger/brick homes.  You can tell exactly the stretch the tornado went through.   Many of those folks couldn't have rebuilt (and improved upon) their homes without the government aid.

business by not providing disaster loans that would allow the small biz ' job makers' to keep their people employed.

Compassionless conservatism,  over the fiscal cliff and kicked back to the curb.

        Brilliant.
