Expect Current programming to be completely obliterated.

Gore and Hyatt are selling Current. Al Jazeera is purchasing the channel space.

Expect to see any and all shows as we know them (Vanguard, Stephanie, Granholm, Young Turks) gone.

Expect Al Jazeera America with completely new programming in place.

I want to disabuse anyone of thinking there will be continuity between Current and the new owners.

That may be brutal, but that is how a buyout and a new channel usually works.

You see any programming left over from CBC Newsworld International when Gore and Hyatt purchased the channel from the CBC in 2005?

        Thought not.

Better get back to the web. The internet isn't going to surf itself.

I'm glad AJ will get some US cable space, but sorry to see some of the Current shows go.
