    The inventory problem, and the availability of a well-tested black market distribution infrastructure created by drug prohibition, strongly suggests that people who should not have guns will be able to get them as easily as they can get Oxycontin.

      unless we can guarantee 100% perfect compliance on a ban.  We stand with the NRA on this one for sure.  You can have my Oxycontin when you pry it out of my pudgy overdosed fingers.

        Dogs made a very valid point: The black market infrastructure already exists, as does the federal and police infrastructure to combat it. Guess what? People can still get weed and harder stuff reliably and with a relatively low chance of discovery and prosecution.

        So it begs the question: Why would THIS prohibition be different? Wouldn't you really just be disarming those law abiding people you have little to fear from anyway?
