Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik, perhaps the last sane Republican in the state, has raised money for a gun buyback. ☛ Arizona Daily Star
A local NRA rep. claims that AZ state law prohibits the destruction of guns and that any guns turned in for the buyback must be immediately returned to circulation.

"The NRA maintains that the city of Tucson must not destroy any of the guns they receive during the buyback," Rathner wrote in an email. "We will take action to assure that the city follows state law and sells any guns they receive to an authorized dealer for resale to the public. If the city refuses to comply with state law, we will take it up with Attorney General (Tom) Horne to assure the city does comply."

The free market is not the solution, the free market is the problem.

The NRA, the lobbying arm of gun manufacturers is complaining about a way to create a demand for new guns by insisting old ones aren't destroyed. Am I the only one that thinks the NRA rep is going to be slapped silly by Remington?

What's wrong with America? I'll tell you. Everything Romney said was pre-chewed wads of cud from Republicans from the last 30 years and yet he managed thru a combination of racism and selling the (false) hope of riches to get 47% of the national vote.
