    addressed, the goal of electing more and better Democrats is a seriously heavy lift.  It's probably even comparable to the outside of a house without removing the old, flaking paint first. The results will look better, but only for a while.

    There are structural problems in our politics that need to be higher goals, in my opinion, and reforming the way congressional districts are drawn is at the top of the list.  I put it even higher than campaign finance reform.

    The way that districts have been carved up by the political/social number crunchers using computer models to leverage their party's chances, the number and kinds of Democrats we can elect are very much limited.

    Oregon: Sure...it's cold. But it's a damp cold.
