    that majority status in the Senate is very fleeting. It can't be locked in with gerrymandering.

      in that most low-population states are red, will always have the advantage (yes, but VT, I know) in the Senate. That we were able to hold it in 2010 is a measure of the extremism of the GOP, how much they've been willing to allow that extremism to cripple them politically, and also shows a good deal of political smarts on our side.

      However, I don't think either side is doing themselves any favors by voting to continue this invitation to constant obstructionism. Can they seriously be happy about their current poll numbers?
