    And they are in more places than most people think.  It's too bad they're not more widely known.

    For example, if you ever find yourself in Topeka and are looking for something to do other than going to the Westboro Baptist assholes and flingin poo at them, go to the

    Combat Air Museum

    It's a sleep place and reminds me of the museum you're documenting here.  This place has an entire second hanger full of aircraft in need of restoration or some that are in mid-restoration.

    Another is the

    Chanute Air Museum

    located in Rantoul Illinois.

    And for something really off the wall and sleepy, if you're in southern Iowa:

    Antique Airfield

    They have some vintage aircraft and some home built stuff but their museum is chock full of stories of local boys who flew in WW2, many of whom could have had movies made about them.
