  •  That is my guess. She sees him and is reminded (10+ / 0-)

of somebody she really can't stand. New Guy in the park today brought down a dog about the size of Xoco - 1.5 pounds on a good day. Rocky The Cat  11.3 lbs - sat on the porch railing and looked down literally and went Meh! New Dog danced around, Rocky decided to take a seat on a chair and New Dog went at him - heehee - he just jumped on the chair and was like - really? You wanna F w/me? We all laughed. Rocky The Cat was raised in the RV park. Dogs come and go. He stays. He knows that. He owns the place. It really is funny as hell. The only time I have seen him freak about a dog was a Great Dane. That dog was f'n huge! The owner brought him down on a leash to check in, Rocky was lounging on a porch chair. He took one look - backed up and stared hard at that dog. The owner tied him to the railing and checked in. Then he untied the leash and walked up the ramp w/the dog. Rocky - sprinted from his spot on the porch into the store and leaped into the window and watched until he could not see that dog anymore. I was laughing my ass off. Have never seen that cat do something like that before. Somewhere I have a photo of Rocky laying on the lid of the ice cream freezer with a standard poodle laying on the floor of the store right below him. It was like 100 degrees that day   the power went out. We humans were hanging on the porch. The cat and the dog were hanging in the store. It was really too cute. Rocky and that standard poodle I swear were friendly to each other.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

    •  LOL, this is sort of OT but (7+ / 0-)

when I took my fire escape pootie Buddy to the vet, he was fine waiting in his cat carrier (he LOVES his cat carrier) until this big dog was getting weighed right next to the bench we were sitting on.

Apparently Buddy, sick as he was, was hissing at this huge but very friendly hound of some sort.

That dog's NOSE was too big to get through the largest hole in the cat carrier.

The funny thing is that Buddy is such a sweetheart...I could easily imagine him making friends with dogs.  But apparently not the ones the size of Great Danes.

To make the argument that the media has a left- or right-wing, or a liberal or a conservative bias, is like asking if the problem with Al-Qaeda is do they use too much oil in their hummus. Al Franken
