and reading SNLC.  The perfect loser Saturday, eh?

Wow, these people are sick puppies.  I have sympathy for the weird, but these people are scary and need to be straightened out.  I love this show, though.  I keep saying things like, "Ha! That hole in the ground won't help you if they use poison gas!"

The family they just finished is living in an abandoned missile silo.  The "expert" preppers, whatever that means, after reviewing his setup, suggested that he needed to invest in a ham radio setup, some bulletproof armor, and train his family in how to use his weapons cache.  The head of household disagreed and simply said, "I guess we're just on different planes of consciousness."

I can't figure out why these guys want to turn their homes into impregnable fortresses to prepare for doomsday.  My plan would be to have a packed suitcase and a full tank of gas so I could move my ass to some place that had fewer zombies and radiation.

I don't have cable, so I'm obviously clueless in multiple aspects there.

There's an amazing story of a guy in this episode who ordered a mail order bride and then tried to explain to her how he needed a wife that would prepare for armageddon with him.

This is more than just bizarre reality tv.  It's actually informative.  This is how we get things like Newtown.  There are people out there who think this way and they're not even unusual, and the people in their immediate circle don't tell them, I guess, just how messed up they are and how they should be the LAST people on earth to own guns.

The mail order bride, Tatiana, talks to the cameraman and tells him that she thinks her prospective husband is a little bit crazy.

.....brains (or legal standing) to get the heck out of this situation?  OK, she is nominally a bride, for that part of the mail-order term, but.....
