    .....Hymel was available just at the right moment in December.  One has to wonder if certain powers (e.g. his agent?) that be told him in advance to be ready, just in case.

        .....and also the one-off performance at The Proms, both in 2012.  I'm pretty sure that Hymel did the role even earlier than London, but I'd have to double-check exactly where.
