system, et least) all agree that once we get the delegates chosen, and the gavel falls, our range of options is no less than what was available to the initial delegates. Basically, it's inherent in the concept of equality.

There can be no protection locally if we're content to ignore the fact that there are no controls globally.

And I don't mean that in a dismissive way, even if it seems like it. What I mean is we're going to have to do something to shake up the stagnation we face. Personally, I think an OWS route is the better choice. But damn it all, something has to change.

What's wrong with America? I'll tell you. Everything Romney said was pre-chewed wads of cud from Republicans from the last 30 years and yet he managed thru a combination of racism and selling the (false) hope of riches to get 47% of the national vote.

      •  I am profoundly supportive of OWS, and I was (0+ / 0-)

really impressed with the energy put in by no small number of paticipants to discussing the concept of using a Constitutional Convention to help create a more viable future society.

Anything can be a Con Con, anyone can be a Con Con if the work product derived thereform gains sufficient acceptance that it clearly represents the will of the present majority.

But, yes, there is still ground to be broken.
