::clears throat:: I can do a great peacock call. LOL My HS best pal lived across from Wayne Newton (in Vegas). Late at night we used to get his peacocks going by calling to them. ;D

Thank your stars you're not that way/Turn your back and walk away/Don't even pause and ask them why/Turn around and say 'goodbye'/Just wish them well.....

    •  LOL That's HILARIOUS ! (3+ / 0-)

His name was Judy. Yes, you read that right.  He was named for their daughter who lived one the other side. He was the district fire chief, and when they put out a fire at Hooker Chemical, Gordon admired their guard birds. Hooker gave them a chick from their next clutch. The chick was brown and white and black, so they named it Judy, then Judy sprouted eye feathers at the appropriate age LOL

Judy loved jelly beans, so when he would get out onto our quiet street the neighbours knew to just lead him home with jelly beans. Visitors too the street would, however get freaked out when Judy would suddenly flash his feathers at them when they were driving and he had gotten out. Luckily there was never an accident. There was one day when Gordon had to call his colleagues because Judy had flown up onto the roof of another house and the jelly beans wouldn't work LOL

Then there was the day our two cats decided to investigate the straggling cat they were sure being killed in Gordon's yard. When they got in the yard, according to Gordon's wife, Judy was in the yard as usual. He walked over to the lightest of our boys, picked him up three feet and dropped him. The other one tried to scramble away, but as he was twenty pounds, scrambling just wasn't possible for him, so Judy picked him up and dropped him from a smaller height. LOL When the boys got home they were fulls of warnings NOT to go in that yard, EVER ! LOL

Torture is ALWAYS wrong, no matter who is inflicting it on whom.
