  •  It's called a pun and I find that so many find (3+ / 0-)

it offensive funny when - even among us - the language continues to be along the lines of the NRA's Second Amendment remedies.  So it is violent to talk about burying the dealers in paperwork and legal matters, yet it is in no way offensive that the great defenders of the NRA among us keep dismissing the deaths of children, suicides and many other deaths as unimportant?

I don't like violence or violent images either, but in this case the pun is perfectly justified. That's the difference between a good diarist and a great diarist (me being in the awful diarist category I observe those): a great diarist can use a pun in such a powerful way.

Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

I may have to reread the diary.  I missed that.

      Meanwhile, though:

Are you seriously suggesting that I can't possibly find that offensive if I object to this use of violent imagery?  Seriously?
