  •  Ignatius said Pres. Obama feels more confortable (8+ / 0-)

working with this team (incl. Kerry) because he has personal relationship with them.

Gonna be interesting to see McCain voting against Hagel when he had nothing but praises when Hagel endorsed him over W in 2000.

        by far.

Hagel has a chance to do battle with the military establishment that few other people could pull off.

But Brennan is complicit to, or guilty of, War Crimes, and hasn't repudiated any of the CIA criminal practices committed while he was an integral part of the "war on terror" under Bush and Cheney.

The fact that he is a "security adviser" to Obama is bad enough.  He's the guy who decides who Obama OKs next on the list to be murdered, literally.  His job is to "help" limit the death and injury to innocent bystanders to an "acceptable" level.

But this guy should be under investigation or prosecution by this Justice Dept, not appointed to the highest position within the CIA.

It shows where the heart of this administration is on America's continued use of militarism as "foreign policy," and the use of assassination and torture, and other illegal acts, in the endless "war on terror."

Very depressing that this is happening on "our" side now.

How is the next Democratic President going to end this horror after even "liberals" accept such a low "standard" of conforming to international law, and civilized ethics?
