I said (1) ASIDE FROM RACISM the most important power center of the GOP is (2) APATHY.  Is that too subtle?

Taibbi of colluding with those forces

Just defeat Taibbi on the merits or demeroits of his arguments (which you seem to do a decent job of) and leave it at that.

Taibbi is one of the good guys.

I am not calling Taibbi racist, I am calling him deceptive and of deceptively pushing a false equivalence between Dems and Republicans.

For me, providing capital to micro-finance non-profits is substantially different from paying Wall Street Executive Bonuses.

Not subtle, but wrong. IM studied O, anyway.

The most important "power center" of the GOP (whatever that may be) is fear and greed.

Fear leads to hatred of the feared.

Greed leads to egocentrism. Which can lead to voting for those most able to further that greed.

Lots of apathy in the 2012 election, eh? particularly among groups being suppressed, no?
