    that's when i started raising cane- geography major in college.
    at that point, corporations we're not the primary enemy.
    apathy and indifference and denial... they were the enemy back in the day.

    Yep, now we need to initiate plans to adapt.
    worry about feeding 7 billion+.

      mitigating.  We can't let climate change go on unslowed and think we can adapt to it.  Nor can we feed 7 billion unless slowing the warming goes a lot faster than I can see happening.  

      The ability of the US to feed much of the world is going to be limited.  THe drought that affected 60% of the lower 48 last year meant the corn crop largely failed, and many other crops as well.  THere's been a significant rise in food prices world wide which is being attributed to the crop failure in the US.  And the drought may continue, and will certainly recur, and will get worse unless we mitigate global warming.

      You have my heartfelt sympathy as someone who's been raising these issues since 1978.  IT must be incredibly frustrating.
