          It depends on the joke. Some jokes actually depend on you saying "this is a joke" to be funny. Humor is complicated that way. Anyway, since the internet takes away tone of voice, it's generally a good idea to use some kind of sarcasm tag if it's not immediately obvious you're kidding--and as you can see, it wasn't.

            sarcasm, that is good enough for me. There are always going to be a few who don't get it, and that's just the way the world works. I told you it was a joke, and yet you just want to keeeeeeeep talking about it.
