      It's not about sipping the koolaid laced with cyanide, it's about telling it like it is. Did I put extra jelly on the PBJ sandwich? Yep, the Rethuglicans do it all the time. However, Obama is far from a moderate Republican.

      I'd rather die on my feet fighting for justice, than live on my knees oppressed by Republicans!

        is only based on the last 20 years.  However if you account for the long history of the Democrats with the popular brand identity being the "Party of the People" and not the current incarnation of neoliberal corporatism then Obama certainly is a Republican from the Reagan era... or a Democrat of the current era -- with the New Deal Democrats and progressives out of power or out of party.
