  •  Dear Mr. Moyers, I have no caption (8+ / 0-)

but am totally delighted to see you back here...and to know that you're back on TV too.

To make the argument that the media has a left- or right-wing, or a liberal or a conservative bias, is like asking if the problem with Al-Qaeda is do they use too much oil in their hummus. Al Franken

I can't think of the witty caption, but after reading the latest  World Bank prediction of a 4 degree celsius increase in temperature, or more, by the end of the century, I realized I have not done enough to advocate for the cap and trade carbon tax.

Noticing how easy it is to slip completely into apathy on certain vital issues by buying into the conventional wisdom that we have "no chance because of GOP opposition - "so forget about it" I realize this is an additional symptom of our collective political dysfunction.

Rather than give up and accept the "reality" of the hopeless  nature of the extent of GOP opposition to doing anything at all about global warming while the Republicans control the House, we must increase our efforts and find ways to changing public opinion, and perhaps even GOP thinking given how critical prevent further damage to our ecosystem is for human survival.

Hey maybe this insight points to the direction of caption?
It's not very funny, but is the core challenge not something like the following:

"Your temperature is the lest of your problems. If you don't confront your denial, get off your addiction to fossil fuels, and make big changes to your behavior you'll soon be dead."

Or, "Ok, I'll give you some aspirin for your headache, today,  but if you don't stop this binge of drinking fossil fuels it's only going to get worse."
