He was the first one in American"media" to expose the lies of Colin (I-lied-through-my-teeth-about-My-Lai-but-have-miraculously-maintained-my-credibility-among-consumers-of-corporate-media) Powell contained in his UN presentation in support of the military assault on the Iraqi people.

Contrast Jones' critique with the contemporaneous paeans to Powell from the NYT and the Washington Post, and I think you can answer "who advertises on his show?"  Jones is not beholden to corporate advertisers.

I do not always agree with Alex Jones, but I appreciate that he presents information outside of the pablum that comprises manufactured consent. As an illustration of this:  had you ever heard of Operation Gladio on TV before Jones' reference in his attack on Piers Morgan?  If unfamiliar, please google "Operation Gladio," and ponder why you have not.

I watched and listened very carefully to Colin Powell during that UN thing, I'll never forgive him for what he did.  The only thing they found there was a stash of insecticide.... and lots of oil.

    •  so the bullshit doesn't matter? (0+ / 0-)

Is that what you mean? Just as long as he motivates people to look something up on wikipedia? Hey, i think that's great, too, but the problem is that Alex Jones is a fucking bullshit artist.

I happen to know a great deal about Gladio and i shudder to think about how fucked up and distorted that muddle-headed loudmouth could make it. I haven't been tuning in—has he adopted Icke's Lizard People scenario into his grand scheme?

      •  Correct...the bullshit doesn't matter (0+ / 0-)

Sorry for the late reply...but I did want to give you the courtesy of a response.  Also, I have a serious question which to which I hope you respond.

As I am to all purveyors of information, I am neutral as to Alex Jones.  I do not accept at face value anything that he says.  I test his information against other available sources. I believe that I am able to discern what is bullshit and what is not.  I appreciate that he broaches relevant topics that corporate media does not.

As to Gladio, do you that it is a good thing or a bad thing that 99% of Americans have never heard of it?

        Thank you for the dialogue.
