    ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI
TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS
FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CIRCUIT
BRIEF OF THE STATE OF TEXAS
AS AMICUS CURIAE IN SUPPORT OF PETITIONER

    GREG ABBOTT
    Attorney General of Texas

    DANIEL T. HODGE
    First Assistant
    Attorney General

    OFFICE OF THE
    ATTORNEY GENERAL

Batshit crazy woman Debbie Riddle was one of the leaders in passing this law. But the STATE OF TEXAS has filed an amicus brief with the federal court in support of its position.

Before you say "f*ck that" to a "lame" title, you should probably try to comprehend the article.

    •  Now look at what you wrote there. (0+ / 0-)

You make the case for me on the criticism of the title. Substitute 'Texas AG' where you use 'Texas' and will gladly rec!

When you write 'Texas' its as if the 40% plus Dems support that. Where's the polling data on Texans who support the idiot AG's  position?  Regional bias some have here is tiresome.

Change the title in the name of accuracy, or don't.

I found the article to be informative, but the title offensive and inaccurate.

      •  No (0+ / 0-)

The "State of Texas" has filed an amicus brief. The Texas Attorney General is filing it on behalf of the state.

Do you see the bolded: "Brief of the State of Texas"?

Stating that "Texas" is getting a head start on voter disenfranchisement is wholly accurate.

Your complaints are noted, but totally without merit.

It's not regional bias. Our State is in the hands of radical, Government hating lunatics. Karl Rove dreamed it up and w/ Tom Delays' help it happened.
Louie Gomert and this Debbie Riddle are representative of Texas governance, State wide and Federally. John Cornyn.....no Cruz  and our Senatorial duo look like the rest of the Texas weirdos.
Sorry, that's just what we have become

        •  divineorder is just butt hurt (0+ / 0-)

Been collecting a lot of outrage points in this diary.

I totally understand, it used to hurt deeply when people laughed about Flori-duh, because I was born there and couldn't escape the Teahadist shithole, and I was stuck there, and it sucked to know that you are represented to the rest of the world by people like Voldemort, and Allen West. It hurts your soul deeply to be in the minority of sane people in an entire state.

Now that I am in Oregon, I can laugh along with everyone else.

And as a resident of Texas I'm usually among the first to call out Texas and Texan bashing. In this case, technically and legally, Texas is acting to further voter suppression. In addition they are acting to open up the system to more egregious gerrymandering. VRA has kept some of that in check up until now.
