  •  Can you explain to me again how you get such (0+ / 0-)

stunningly vivid underwater photos with no glare from the aquarium class, prefect lighting, lighting, and depth of field focus?

I remember asking you before, and presuming you are a photoshop wizard, but I do not remember the exact details of your reply. (Sorry I'm getting old)

I don`t really remember if I did reply.
      I`m pretty old myself.
But let me address your concerns.
First, I only use a point & shoot camera.
I set the "white balance" to "fluorescent" in "flash mode".
I set the camera directly against the glass to negate any flash reflection from the front glass but do have to compose the shots so I do not get flash reflections from the back glass at the rear of the tank.

The tank/reef inhabitants are already so colorful that wizardry does not often have to come into play, although I am proficient with photoshop (if I may boast a little)
I shoot at high speed (2000ths/second) & never publish an image that does not have the eye of my subject in focus.
Here are a few samples of what I mean.
Also please remember that all the images I post are 99.9% taken with my little "point & shoot", something I decided to promote so that those who may not be able to afford high end cameras, can nevertheless amaze their friends & relatives & on-line viewers with their respective photographic captures.
Now try & remember that I did reply, though a month from now I may have forgotten that I did.
Enjoy & I`ll be happy to answer any further inquiries.

(This Bangaii Cardinall is just days away from hatching a mouthful of fry that it`s been holding for over 16 days in it`s mouth.
He`ll hold them alive in his mouth for almost another week before they will have to fend for themselves.
If I`m lucky enough to be on hand, I shall endeavor to capture them & put them in a small holding tank where I can feed them with live brine shrimp I hatch here at my place, (think Sea Monkeys) since they will instinctively feed on little "squiggly things" but will not readily accept dried fish food.
Without that kind of "live food" intervention, they will not survive.

Follow my simple suggestions & you shall get images that should be acceptable to the general viewer.
For some reason many people like my postings.
Your questions are quite a compliment.
      Thank you.
Another venue to see my "wizardry" (ya, right) is to check out my diaries, though I`ve been very busy for months on a work project.
If anyone does check my past diaries, I surely like to get feedback/questions on any aspect of my images.
I hope I`ve helped & I hope you remember my response.

I`m already against the next war.
