the US GHG emissions have increased by 10.5% since 1990

The US has done some good things, almost entirely at the local level.  Except for Seattle, virtually none of the US is below 1990 levels.   Not even California comes close, and we've been fairly aggressive.

Sure, dealing with income inequality is important, but it is zero reason to delay action on climate.  We should not consign humanity to widespread destruction just because the American people are so stupid as to choose a terrible economic model.  We should worry about that separately and independently.

Yes, it is a no-brainer.  Income inequality is a triviality compared to climate change.  It isn't going to wipe out major portions of life on earth and potentially end civilzation and kill billions of people.  For those who understand the science, this isn't a close question. Without addressing income inequality, they'll believe they have no future.  Without addressing climate change, they literally won't. After a mere 0.8C increase, the impacts on the food supply have driven up basic food prices by 45%.  Just what do you think a 4C increase is going to look like?  It won't be about Larry Ellison being the only guy who can afford jet fuel.  It will be about Larry Ellison being the only guy who can afford to eat.

Hay hombres que luchan un dia, y son buenos Hay otros que luchan un año, y son mejores Hay quienes luchan muchos años, y son muy buenos. Pero hay los que luchan toda la vida. Esos son los imprescendibles.
