My own view is that joining the county party, and doing work at the precinct level, is a very important thing to be doing.

I wonder sometime if there's any coordination at all among the various Democratic Party entities.    Every time I do voluteer work, it was me who contacts them rather than them asking me to do stuff.  For the past forty years I've mostly worked on specific issues, or campaigned for specific candidates.  Only lately have I turned my attention to the party itself, mainly because I moved into Cobb County, where the GOP dominates on a county-wide basis.

I'm optimistic for the long haul, but the fact that only Natalie Bergeron ran as a Democrat with 13 Republicans and Libertarians running was disappointing.

We can't let that happen again.

    •  I agree. I've wondered that as well. Maybe (0+ / 0-)

each county should a a liaison position to coordinate with other local parties and the state party as well.
